PURPOSE: An electronic-hydraulic brake system is provided to prevent locking of rear wheels caused by remaining pressure and to execute excellent braking without lowering of stability of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An electronic-hydraulic brake system has a pump(16), an accumulator(19), a brake pedal(10), a reservoir(22), and a master cylinder(11). The electronic-hydraulic brake system includes cut valves(20,21) opened and shut to supply the pressure of the master cylinder to front right and left wheels in suddenly braking, and a fail-safe valve(23) opened and shut to return remaining pressure of rear wheels to the reservoir. The cut valves include a first valve installed to a hydraulic line between an MCP port of the master cylinder and a wheel cylinder(12) of the front right wheel, and a second valve installed to a hydraulic line between an MCS port of the master cylinder and a wheel cylinder of the front left wheel.
