<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing implement capable of stably writing even near the upper end or the lower end of a vertical face of a white board or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the writing implement with a pen body 2 fitted to the front end of a barrel 1, a grip 5 made of an elastic material is fitted to at least the outer peripheral surface of the rear part of the barrel 1, allowing a finger tip to be fitted to the barrel in writing near the upper end or near lower end of the vertical face of the white board.
