<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device in which the sequence can be controlled not to cause operation errors. <P>SOLUTION: In a control means provided in a recording device which writes image data read from a digital camera 14, an image pickup device such as a portable telephone 15 with a camera or the like, and media 13 in a recording medium such as a CD-R or the like, such sequence control is performed so that loading the CD-R in a CD-R drive 8 is prohibited until receiving the charge by a charge receiving means is finished, the CD-R in which the image data is recorded is discharged from a CD-R loading part after recording the image data by an image data recording means is finished and the prescribed time elapses, the CD-R loading part is stored after elapsing the prescribed time after the CD-R in which recording image data by the image data recording means is finished is discharged from the CD-R loading part.
