PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for restoring and up-grading a memory in a portable unit. SOLUTION: A system is provided with a bus connected to a processor, a first data route which connects the processor to a first memory and is different from the bus and a second data route which connects the processor to a second memory and is different from the bus. In the processor, a redundant array of the independent memory is formed by establishing the first memory as a master memory and making the second memory as a slave memory by writing data in the second memory.
