PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for plasma display panel which efficiently implements an address display mixed driving method. SOLUTION: The driving part for plasma display panel which includes a video processing part, a control part, an address driving part, an X driving part, and a Y driving part has a plurality of driving circuits so that XY electrode line couples of the plasma display panel are allocated to a plurality of XY electrode line couple groups and at lest one of an X drive part and a Y drive part corresponds to a plurality of XY electrode-line couple groups. The plurality of driving circuits individually operate to implement addressing and display sustaining discharge alternately and also applies an alternating-current voltage enabling display sustaining discharge to only an XY electrode-line couple groups which have been addressed.
