PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation point moving amount observation system having a GPS (global positioning system) combined with a data carrier which can easily obtain high precision positioning data in a short time at a low cost and in real time, which can acquire history data, and which can efficiently arrange and manage massive measurement data. SOLUTION: The observation point moving amount observation system for observing the moving distance of the observation point by the positioning using the GPS 30 is equipped with a GPS mobile station 3 for receiving a radio wave from a GPS satellite 2, and for calculating the installation coordinates of the GPS mobile station 3 on the basis of received radio wave information from the GPS satellite 2; a server 4 for data storage; a reader/writer 9 fixed to a caisson 12 to be the observation point; and a PDA (personal digital assistance) 18 for calculating the moving amount of the observation point by the measured installation coordinates and the previous installation coordinates recorded on an electronic tag 17.
