PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting belt and a rubber compound used in it capable of reducing the slip sound continuously by dropping the friction coefficient of the belt surface. SOLUTION: The transmitting belt 1 of V-ribbed type is composed of an adhesive rubber layer 3 in which cores 2 are embedded in the belt longitudinal direction and a compression rubber layer 4 furnished with a rib part 7, including a resilient substance layer consisting of the adhesive rubber layer 3 and the compression rubber layer 4, wherein at least the compression rubber layer 4 is formed from rubber compound containing 100 parts by weight crude rubber and 5-20 parts by weight powder of silicone-acrylic resin copolymer.
