PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for saving labor and reducing industrial waste by changing a non-bearing wall of an existing building part into a bearing wall with sufficient strength without removing the non-bearing wall together with the framework in the extension construction of dwelling houses. SOLUTION: This method for changing the non-bearing wall into the bearing wall comprises a cutting step for cutting the existing intermediate columns and rails of the framework having shaft columns and shaft rails disposed in a frame shape, existing intermediate rails, and intermediate columns, a new intermediate rail mounting step for disposing the new intermediate rails having cutout parts formed therein, a new intermediate column mounting step for connecting both end parts of the new intermediate columns having the cutout parts formed therein to the new intermediate rails, a bearing brace mounting step allowing the bearing braces to pass the cutout parts of the new intermediate rails therein and fixing both end parts thereof to the corner parts of the framework with a fixing tool, and a reinforcement member mounting step for disposing the reinforcement intermediate columns and rails for reinforcing the new intermediate columns and rails.
