PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biotinyl group-containing porphyrin compound rapidly and simply purifying and labeling a minor hemoprotein in vivo and to provide a method for purifying the hemoprotein using the biotinyl group-containing porphyrin compound, a labeling reagent for the hemoprotein, a diagnostic agent for diseases related to the hemoprotein using the reagent and further a therapeutic agent, etc., for a photodynamic therapy. SOLUTION: The biotinyl group-containing porphyrin compound is represented by formula (I) Por-A-Bi (wherein, Por is a porphyrin residue which may form a metal complex; Bi is a biotinyl group which may be substituted; and A is a hydrocarbyl group having 1-20 carbon atoms or a heterohydrocarbyl group having 1-5 heteroatoms selected from an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom and a nitrogen atom and having 1-20 atoms in total). The method for purifying the hemoprotein and the labeling reagent for the hemoprotein use the biotinyl group-containing porphyrin compound. The diagnostic agent for the diseases related to the hemoprotein and the therapeutic agent for the photodynamic therapy use the biotinyl group-containing porphyrin compound.
