PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the crew protection performance of an underbody in the case of an offset collision from a viewpoint of the effective utilization of the underbody. SOLUTION: A frame side reinforcement 40 is arranged on a side rail 11A of a frame 11. On the other hand, a bulkhead 42 is arranged on a No.2 cross member 26 at the position opposite to the frame side reinforcement 40. Further, a No.2 reinforcement 38 is arranged between the No.2 cross member 26 and a No.4 cross member 36 so as to follow the bulkhead 42. Therefore, when an offset collision load is input, a partial component F1 of the offset collision load is input to a locker portion 18 from a front tire 16, and the remainder component F2 of the collision load is input to the bulkhead 42 from the frame side reinforcement 40, and further is transmitted to the No.4 cross member 36 via the No.2 reinforcement 38. As a result, the offset collision load is distributed and can be received by the whole of the underbody 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
