PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for electrolysis which is hardly damaged by physical impact or pressure, can be enlarged, and can cope with falling off due to an excess electric current, and an electrolysis apparatus for wastewater. SOLUTION: The electrode for electrolysis has electric conductors 20 for the electrode and a base 30, and the electric conductors 20 are stuck onto the base 30 parallel to each other to form the electrode 10 for electrolysis. It is preferable that a plurality of the electric conductors 20 cover the base 30 so as to fit the shape of the base 30 and are stuck to it. The thickness of the conductor 20 may vary with each region. It is preferable that the electric conductor 20 is an electrically conductive diamond. The electrode 10 for electrolysis can be used for the electrolysis treatment of the wastewater. The electrode is hardly damaged by the physical impact or pressure, can be enlarged, and can be made in various shapes. The thickness of the region having a high current density or requiring high strength in the electric conductor is increased, so that the damage to the electric conductor for the electrode hardly occurs.
