PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for separating organic chlorine compounds, which can reduce the volume of a sample, such as wastewater, containing the organic chlorine compounds, quickly separate and collect the organic chlorine compounds contained in the wastewater, and quickly treat unnecessary wastewater. SOLUTION: The organic chlorine compound separating system has a separation means that separates the wastewater containing hydrophobic organic chlorine compounds into a water phase and an oil phase, a water purification means that removes the hydrophobic organic chlorine compounds separated from the water phase, and a water examination means that examines the purified water.
