PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a thin coating layer by precisely controlling a film thickness. SOLUTION: Tapped holes (as indicated by points P4, P5, and P6) for push bolts and/or pull bolts are formed in a coater body 10a. The coater body 10a is curved in a manner that its outside approaches to a web 12. The push bolt is used as the point 4 to allow a front lip 15a to approach to the web 12. Pull bolts are used as the points P5 and P6 on the outside of the curved coater body 10a so as to separate the front lip 15a from the web 12. By adjusting a clearance between the web 12 and the front lip 15a, a wet film becomes substantially uniform along the direction of coating width and the fluctuation in the wet film thickness of the coating layer can be reduced.
