The present invention discloses a blade for a surgical device, namely a device for processing the cornea of a human or animal eye, comprising a blade body, a front and a rear edge, and two lateral edges connecting the front and rear edges of the blade, the front edge serving for processing the cornea, wherein an end of the front edge of the blade is formed bluntly, such that it is not suitable for severing the cornea. The present invention further relates to a surgical device, namely a device for processing the cornea of a human or animal eye.
