A plunger (18) driven by a pressure cylinder and piston (9) is forced into a cartridge (19) filled with adhesive. The cartridge is located in a heated mounting (5) which is open at each end. The cartridge is placed on a dispensing unit (11) with a cannula (12). The dispenser is fitted on the surface of a functional block (2). This is equipped with heating elements and a pump-driven pressure system, to which the cannula is connected. The cylinder unit (9) is attached to the cover (15), which is pivoted on the main frame (1). There is a pre-heating station (4) on the functional block. The dispenser with its cannula is detachable from the functional block. On the lower side of the cover a pressed edge (21) corresponds with the edge of the cartridge. The cartridge contains an upwardly-curved sieve disc above the spigot (20). The plunger introduced into the cartridge, is constructed as a cutting plunger.
