<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an imaging apparatus, a control method for them, and a program wherein the imaging apparatus and the image processing apparatus can easily be identified in the case of transceiving image information between the imaging apparatus and the image processing apparatus via a network. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is characterized in that the image processing apparatus establishes a communication session to another image processing apparatus, and collects and stores display information related to the autonomous display contents / display capability of a display apparatus of the other image processing apparatus via the communication session.
