PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an apparatus and method for integrating a fuel supply mechanism and a fuel level sensor to reduce the likelihood of fuel leaks and provide a user with an accurate estimation of the remaining fuel within the fuel supply mechanism.

SOLUTION: The fuel supply mechanism includes a fuel container having an interior chamber for containing fuel, and a pressure sensing unit 210 disposed within the interior chamber of the fuel container. The pressure sensing unit 210 is configured to provide an output signal indicative of an amount of fuel remaining in the fuel container.
