摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the fluctuation of engine speed when the opening of a throttle valve is reduced upon ending a catalyst warm-up acceleration control and immediately after that. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic control unit (23) of the ignition timing controller reduces the opening of the throttle valve and gradually advances the ignition timing to a standard ignition timing at an end time control following the warm-up acceleration control. In the case of an engine equipped with an intake system for exponentially reducing intake air in accordance with the reduction of the opening of the throttle valve, the advancing speed of the ignition timing is switched at two levels based on a reduction characteristic curve of the intake air calculated beforehand and advances the ignition timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
