PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of short-circuiting at a connection end terminal which is connected to a piezoelectric vibrator, in a miniaturized piezoelectric oscillator. SOLUTION: The case structure of a piezoelectric oscillator has a configuration, where a piezoelectric vibrator is mounted at one side of a base substrate and a semiconductor component, which is a circuit element of the piezoelectric oscillator, is mounted at the other side of the base board. A connection end terminal, which is connected to a piezoelectric vibrator and formed at the semiconductor component side of the base substrate, is made recessed from the rear surface of the base substrate.
