PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength stainless steel plate having excellent ductility. SOLUTION: The stainless steel plate showing a two-phase zone of ferrite and austenite in the temperature range of≥900°C is heated to the temperature of the two-phase zone, preferably in the temperature range of 900-1,200°C, cooled at the cooling rate of≥5°C/s, and subjected to a first heat treatment of realizing the mixed structure of the martensitic phase of 20-80% by volume fraction and the balance ferritic phase, the cold rolling with the draft of≥30%, and a second heat treatment of heating the plate to the temperature≥400°C and below Ac<SB>1</SB>transformation point. The high-strength stainless steel plate of high strength of≥TS:800 MPa and excellent ductility is obtained thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
