<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the shelf life reliability of a DRAW optical recording medium using an organic dye as the main component of a recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is provided with at least the recording layer 21 comprised essentially of the organic dye and a reflection layer 22 provided adjacent to the recording layer 21. The recording layer 21 contains at least sulfur (S) and the reflection layer 22 contains an alloy comprised essentially of silver (Ag) and having indium (In) and tin (Sn) added to silver. Since oxidation resistance is enhanced when indium (In) is added to silver (Ag) and sulfuration resistance is enhanced when tin (Sn) is added to silver (Ag), sulfur (S) contained in the recording layer 21 does not erode the reflection layer 22 when the reflection layer 22 consisting of the material is used.
