<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a juncture of optical drop cables which is small in size, is light in weight and is less restricted in places for installation and a splicing method. <P>SOLUTION: The juncture has a supporting line juncture 5 where supporting lines 75 respectively exposed from terminal of both of the optical drop cables 71 are connected, an optical fiber juncture 4 where the terminals of the optical fibers 72 respectively exposed from the terminals of both of the optical drop cables 71 are connected by having extra lengths and cylindrical extra length housing guides 8 attached onto the connected supporting lines. The extra lengths for connection of the optical fibers 72 are wound around the outer peripheries of the cylindrical extra length housing guides 8 in the state of assuring the permissible minimum bending diameter of the optical fibers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
