PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle capable of preventing the vehicle from moving during the neutral control. SOLUTION: The control device for the vehicle equipped with a belt type continuously variable transmission device 300 includes an ECU 1000 to execute the neutral control to release an input clutch 310 when the vehicle is stopped while its operation meets the predetermined conditions in the forward running position, and the ECU 1000 controls a linear solenoid 1220 for controlling the belt pinching pressure so as to increase the pressure with which pulleys 500 and 600 constituting the transmission device 300 contact with a belt 700 during execution of the neutral control.
