PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a substance containing a volatile substance, which method does not require another apparatus for sending a volatile substance to a cement clinker burning apparatus and causes no trouble in the characteristics or burning process of cement clinker. SOLUTION: This treating method is characterized in that, after the substance containing the volatile substance is mixed with a cement material and an adsorbent for the volatile substance, the resultant mixture is ground by using a cement material mill and sent to the highest stage of a suspension pre-heater of a cement production apparatus.
