PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical film satisfying high-degree characteristics required for use in an optical field, a display field and the like by a melt extrusion method. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for a melt extrusion film represented by the optical film, a die is sealed with an inert gas such as a nitrogen gas, an argon gas or the like at least during the period from the start of the heating of the die to the extrusion of a molten resin from the die.
