摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine a route, even if the locus points of movement are located at large intervals or position information at the start point and end point of the locus of movement contain errors. SOLUTION: A position coordinate plotting part 13 plots on a road map of a digital road map (database), 12 according to position information (coordinate data) of a probe 1. A collation candidate point acquiring part 14 determines collation candidate points for all the ridge lines, passing through the vicinity of each locus point of movement within a prescribed range. A cost computing part 15 computes costs which is proportional to the distance between the each locus point of movement and the collation candidate points. A route retrieval part 16 retrieves routes passing through the collation candidate points to the locus points of movement, including the start point and the end point, and sum up the costs of the collation candidate points on retrieved routes for each route retrieved. A collation position determining part 17 determines the collation candidate points of a retrieved route as a collation position, at which the sum of the costs of each retrieved route becomes a minimum.
