PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple and inexpensive hinge which enables easy temporary holding only by inserting a slat of the hinge into a receiving implement though longitudinal adjustment of a door is performed by meshing a gear with a rack, and which enables the slat to be pulled out from the receiving implement according to need. SOLUTION: This hinge comprises a hinge A wherein the left and right slats 2 and 3 are coupled together via a pivot 1, and the receiving implement B which is mounted on the door C. The receiving implement B is equipped with a groove part 4 for accepting the slat 2, the gear 6 which meshes with the rack 5 so as to move in a horizontal direction, and a fastening screw 7; a shaft 6a of the gear is constantly and elastically protruded toward an adjacent surface of the slat 2; and an engaging part 6b, with which a rotating tool is engaged, is provided at the tip surface of a shaft part. The slat 2 is provided with an insertion groove 9 into which a shank of the fastening screw 7 is slidably inserted from a lateral direction, and a shaft fitting hole 10 into which the shaft part 6a of the gear 6 is elastically fitted in a detachable manner; and an inclined guide surface 11 is provided at the leading edge of the slat 2.
