PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing the thickness of a motor, at low cost, which comprises a sleeve formed with a porous material. SOLUTION: A sleeve 31 formed with a porous material impregnated with a lubricating oil is provided with a flange 311 expanding in the direction vertical to a center axis 22J. The flange 311 holds the sleeve 31 and protrudes outside a sleeve holding part 32 formed by press-working. A rotor part 2 is provided with a retaining member 25 which protrudes toward the center axis 22J outside the sleeve holding part 32. Thus, the sleeve 31 formed with porous material prevents separation of a shaft 22 from the sleeve 31. A motor 1 is reduced in size thanks to the sleeve holding part 32 of simple form, resulting in a reduced manufacturing cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
