PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original transport guide, disposed adjacent to an original discharge side of a contact glass plate and effectively suppressing the occurrence of reading the unevenness in an original. SOLUTION: The original transport guide 10 is disposed adjacent to the reading original discharge side of the contact glass plate 1, provided at an image read part and guides the read original 3 passed over the glass plate 1 in the discharging direction. A partial guide region, having a guide surface brought into contact with the part of the reading original to be discharged from the contact glass plate in the part of a width direction, is formed on the upper surface of the original transport guide 10.
