PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting magnet device capable of preventing small metal pieces from falling on the ground when a magnet is returned to an attraction position after it releases an attracted load. SOLUTION: This control method for the lifting magnet comprises a step for attracting the load, a step for moving the lifting magnet to a place on which the load is placed down, a step for releasing the load, and a step for moving the lifting magnet to an original place which are repeatedly performed.
