PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a gap between a nozzle face and a medium to be recorded to be adjusted small or large by an operation of moving a carriage 10 in a main scanning direction. SOLUTION: A first butting part 50 is provided at an upper face of the carriage 10. A switching link body 40 larger in the width than the length is coupled via pivotal parts 45 to a pair of guide bodies 41 fitted horizontally rotatably by a pair of pivots 54 erected at right and left both sides of the first butting part 50. A first projection 42 is set at a left end of the switching link body 40. Second butting parts 51 having a larger height than that of the first butting part 50 are set at the pair of guide bodies 41, and moreover second projections 59 are protruded upward. The carriage 10 is moved along a frame, whereby the first projection 42 is pressed by a first pressing means of the left end, or the second projections 59 are pressed by a second pressing means. Consequently the guide bodies 41 are rotated, thereby changing butting to a slide face 12e'. The gap between the nozzle face and the medium to be recorded is adjusted accordingly.
