PURPOSE: An electromagnetic relay is provided to improve an insulating property, opening and closing characteristics, and a productivity of the relay by providing a pair of pedestal portions for coil terminals in an outer circumferential edge portion of a lower light blocker of a spool. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic relay includes a coil(21), an iron core, a yoke(26), an electromagnetic block(20), a contact, and a movable iron slice. The coil is wound around a drum portion of a spool(31) having an upper and lower light blockers(33,34) on upper and lower end portions. The iron core is inserted in a central hole of the drum portion. A protruded upper portion is fixed on the yoke. A pair of pedestal portions for coil terminals(35,36) are provided on an outer circumference of a lower light blocker. A hole for inducing coil(37) is formed along with the outer circumference of the lower light blocker. A containing concave(34a) is formed to contain a shading coil(24). The shading coil attached to the iron core protruding from a central hole of the spool on the lower surface of the lower light blocker.
