摘要 PURPOSE: A modifier generating hydrogen supplied in a fuel cell is provided, to allow the temperature of each module to be controlled freely by setting independent heating means in each module for reducing the initial reaction time, to remove the inconvenience of using nitrogen with a vacuum pump and to inhibit the oxidation of hydrogen inside. CONSTITUTION: The modifier comprises a housing having fuel gas discharge hole at the top; first, second and third burners set in multi-step; a vapor modification reactor(40) which is cylindrical to surround the lowest first burner and where a modification catalyst is set; a vaporizer(50) where supplied water is mixed with supplied methane and which is connected with the vapor modification reactor; high temperature CO converter(60) which is a ring-shaped tub, surrounds the second burner and is connected with the vapor modification reactor; low temperature CO converter(70) which is a ring-shaped tub, surrounds the third burner and is connected with the high temperature CO converter; a mixer(75) which is set on the separation plate of the low temperature CO converter and mixes air and the modifying gases supplied from the low temperature CO converter; and at least one preferential oxidation reactor(80) which is set in the upper part of the mixer and has a catalyst.
