摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A method for controlling a reverse traffic rate in a mobile communication system is provided to effectively control a reverse data rate while a mobile terminal for transmitting data at initial rate increases a data rate at more than two stages when transmitting the data. CONSTITUTION: A base station receives R-PDCCHs(Reverse Packet Data Control Channels) and R-REQCHs(Reverse Request Channels) from all mobile terminals, and demodulates received information which shows a state of each mobile terminal(901). The base station performs a scheduling process(902). The base station checks whether a scheduled result is within one stage up or down range at previous data rate of the mobile terminals(903). If so, the base station transmits the scheduled result to the mobile terminals through an F-RCCH(Forward Rate Control Channel)(904). If the scheduled result is out of the range, the base station transmits the scheduled result through an F-GCH(Forward Grant Channel)(905).</p>
