The invention relates to liquid crystalline media comprising a chiral component, component A; a bimesogenic component, component B comprising a bimesogenic compound having a non-symmetric structure; a dielectrically positive component, component C, and/or a dielectrically negative component, component D; and optionally a dielectrically neutral component, component E; to the use of these liquid crystalline media in liquid crystal devices, in particular in electro-optical devices such as displays, in particular of the flexoelectric type and to such devices.
