摘要 PURPOSE: A display device, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the display quality by driving an organic EL device layer with good symmetry while preventing deterioration of a reflecting characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode(80) and a negative electrode(86) are formed on a substrate(100). An organic EL(Electro Luminescence) device layer(88) is formed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(110) is formed at every pixel. A reflecting layer(44) is formed on insulation films(34,38) covering the TFT, and is insulated from the TFT, and reflects incident light from the negative electrode. A protective film(46) is formed to cover that reflecting layer. Contact holes(40,41,43) passing through the protective film and the insulation films are formed at an area corresponding to the TFT so that the positive electrode is electrically connected to the TFT. The organic EL device layer is driven by the negative electrode and the positive electrode with good symmetry.
