摘要 The present invention relates to an infrared light detecting sensor (10) capable of adjusting sensing area and a counter using the same, wherein the infrared light detection sensor capable of adjusting a sensing area comprises: a first sensing element (10a) for outputting an infrared light wavelength value detected from a moving object as a positive or negative value; a second sensing element (10b) for outputting a signal having a phase opposite to that of the first sensing element (10a); a main body (11) in which a field-effect transistor is installed for outputting a sensing signal (SEN) according to the outputted signals of the first sensing element (10a) and the second sensing element (10b); and an infrared light blocking unit (100) surrounding an outer side the main body (11), and having a hollow unit (110), which extends lengthily toward a lower side of the main body (11), formed thereon. Thereby, infrared light emitted from the moving object cannot enter the outer side of the infrared light blocking unit (100) and can only enter through the hollow unit (110). The infrared light detection sensor having the infrared light blocking unit formed above installed therein, according to the present invention, can have an orientation by being set to reduce the width of an infrared light sensing area detected from a moving object by adjusting the length of the infrared light blocking unit. A counter using the infrared light detection sensor having the infrared light blocking unit installed therein can accurately determine if a moving object enters and proceeds in a target space and accurately count the number of entering or proceeding moving objects.
