PURPOSE: A control method of a vehicle stability control system is provided to improve the stability and operability of a vehicle by deciding turning speed that a driver wants, based on the condition of a traveling road surface. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a vehicle stability control system is composed of steps for detecting the speed of a vehicle, steering angle and steering angular velocity, lateral acceleration, and pressure of a master cylinder(100); computing reference turning speed according to the vehicle speed and steering angle(110); outputting the limited reference turning speed according to the pressure of the master cylinder, the lateral acceleration, and a maximum value of the limited reference turning speed computed according to the vehicle speed and lateral acceleration(120,130); computing a final reference turning speed by applying a weighted value set previously according to the steering angular velocity on the reference turning speed and the limited reference turning speed(140); and controlling the brake power and driving force of the vehicle to follow an actual turning speed up to the final reference turning speed.
