PURPOSE:To provide an IC card which can reproduce and restore the data even though the memory contents are destroyed and altered. CONSTITUTION:The card 1 consists of a card substrate 10, an IC module 11 and a data display part 14. A confirmation code is calculated based on a prescribed confirmation key for a part or the whole of data on the contents stored in a memory of the module 11. Then, the data on the memory contents and the calculated confirmation code are recorded and shown at the display part 14. The part 14 can nonelectrically record the data so that they can be visually confirmed. Therefore, the data shown at the part 14 can be read even though the memory contents of the module 11 cannot be read or destroyed. In addition, the memory contents can be checked and the safety is also improved for the displayed data. |
