<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner which has a high quality and requires a small installation area. SOLUTION: The image scanner is provided with a read means consisting of a light source which irradiates a document, a lens which forms an image of reflected light from the document, and an image sensor which photoelectrically converts the reflected light, and a contact glass. In this image scanner, an image scanner frame body is provided with a fixing means so that the contact glass is supported approximately perpendicularly to the installation surface of the image scanner, and the document is fixed along the approximately perpendicularly supported contact glass, and at least a part of the read means is moved upward or downward to read the fixed document.</p> |
