PURPOSE: To maximize compatibility of the seaming machine by seaming cans having different sizes in the state that seaming head is not replaced, thereby accurately seaming varieties of containers having various sizes, shapes and heights only by one seaming machine. CONSTITUTION: The seaming head comprises a seaming roller (110) for sealing the can by pressing an edge part of can lid (2) in such a way that the edge part together with an upper part of the can is rolled round the seaming roller as the seaming roller is being rotated along the edge part of the can lid; operation arms consisted of first operation arm (120a) installed at any one side of the seaming roller and second operation arm (120b) connected to the first operation arm by a supporting shaft (122) and installed to form a certain angle on the basis of the supporting shaft; a cam follower (130) installed at an end of the second operation arm; a cam (140) having certain curved surface for operating the operation arms as much as a certain angle with being contacted with the cam follower so that the seaming roller is angularly moved; a spring (150) installed at a side part of the second operation arm so that the seaming roller always applies a certain pressure to the can lid side; and an eccentric gear (160) for varying position of the seaming roller by moving the center of the supporting shaft with being eccentrically connected to the supporting shaft connected to the first operation arm and the second operation arm.
