摘要

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for displaying a map for navigation by using a mobile communication terminal and a map information server connected to a mobile communication network are provided to perform efficiently a navigating process by requesting previously necessary map information to the map information server. CONSTITUTION: First map information is stored in a predetermined storage unit(S101). Second map information is extracted from the first map information(S102). A predetermined map image related to the second map information is displayed on a display unit of a mobile communication terminal(S103). A first region related to the first map information is compared with a second region related to the second map information(S104). Additional map information is requested to a map information server according to a compared result(S105).
