PURPOSE:To provide a range finder where an error caused by the number of light projecting times and an individual is eliminated, accurate range-finding is realized and a data quantity stored on a camera side is reduced. CONSTITUTION:A luminous flux is projected toward a range-finding object by a light projecting part 1, reflected light from the range-finding object is received by a light receiving part 2, and a photoelectric conversion signal in accordance with the distance of the range-finding object is outputted, then a distance to the range-finding object is calculated based on the photoelectric conversion signal by an arithmetic part 3. The number of light projecting times by the light projecting part 1 is differently set to at least two or more ways by a setting part 5 setting the number of light projecting times. A correction value for correcting the difference of a range-finding calculation value caused by the difference of the number of light projecting times is stored in a storage part 6 and the distance is calculated using the correction value stored in the storage part 6 by the arithmetic part 3. |
