The workpiece treatment station has a gap in the treatment zone wall, with sealing, to allow the workpiece carrier arm (3) on the conveyor to pass through. The seal has an initial set of spring blades (9), with side overlaps, mounted in the wall (1) at the side of the gap (2) away from it. A second set of overlapping spring blades (10) are mounted at the wall on the other side of the gap. The ends of the two sets of spring blades are in a spring overlap with each other when at rest. Deflectors are moved by the conveyor, together with the carrier arms, to push the spring sealing blades to one side to allow the workpiece carrier arm to pass through. The spring blades are of metal or reinforced plastics. |
