摘要

PURPOSE: An optical output module and an optical pickup device adopting the optical output module thereinto is provided to dispose a beam shaping window inside while disposing a 1/4 wavelength plate in the optical output module, and to prevent a beam reflected from an optical disk from being directly incident on an optical detector, thereby simplifying a structure and smoothly controlling a laser output. CONSTITUTION: An optical output module(30) comprises as follows. A semiconductor laser(41) and a monitoring optical detector(43) are installed on a base(31). A cap(33) covers the semiconductor laser(41) and the monitoring optical detector(43). A beam shaping window(45) is disposed on a proceeding path of a laser beam. A 1/4 polarizer(47) is installed on a front side of the beam shaping window(45), and forms the laser beam as a circular polarized beam.
