PURPOSE: A composite cooking apparatus and control method thereof are provided to achieve improved thermal efficiency by using composite heat sources, and improved user convenience by eliminating restrictions of cooking vessel. CONSTITUTION: A composite cooking apparatus comprises two different heat sources for heating foodstuff in a cooking vessel(103); a controller for controlling a cooking operation by operating one or two of the heat sources in accordance with an operation mode; a heat resistant glass(120) on which the cooking vessel is disposed; and an air duct(102) for discharging heated air. The heat sources include a sheet heater(140) and an induction heater(170) which are arranged beneath the heat resistant glass. The sheet heater is arranged on the air duct, and the induction heater is arranged beneath the air duct.
