PURPOSE: A heater apparatus for a microwave oven is provided to maximize the efficiency of a heater installed in the microwave oven, and to optimize cooking by moving the tray up and down and by adjusting the tray according to the kind or the size of food. CONSTITUTION: A heater apparatus of a microwave oven is composed of an upper heater(110) mounted in the upper part of a cavity(100); a lower heater installed in the lower part of the cavity and inclined selectively by rotating; a tray(150) placed in the upper part of the lower heater to load food; and a motor inclining the lower heater on which the tray is placed. The tray is moved up to the upper heater by inclining the lower heater. The lower heater is inclined by transmitting rotation of the motor into the lower hater through rotation of auxiliary gears(132b,134b) and gears(132a,134a).
