METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DIRECTION OF ANTENNA WITH RESPECT TO THE RELEVANT BROADCASTING CHANNEL

PURPOSE: A method is provided to maintain optimum screen quality over all broadcasting channels, by automatically controlling the direction of an antenna in an optimum direction with respect to the relevant broadcasting channel. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S32) of judging whether the control code input by a user key operation and the preset antenna direction control code are the same; a step(S33) of counting the duration of the current tuning channel, if the codes are the same; a step(S34) of judging whether the counted duration of the current tuning channel and the preset antenna control start time are the same; a step(S36) of detecting the antenna direction value pre-matched to the current tuning channel, if the duration of the current tuning channel and the preset antenna control start time are the same; and a step(S37) of controlling the direction of the antenna to be the most appropriate direction of the current tuning channel in accordance with the antenna direction value detected in the previous step.
