The packing system is for protecting a bouquet of flowers during transport and comprises a case in which a bucket is placed. The bucket on its upper side is provided with an opening for accommodation of a bouquet. The opening is surrounded by a collar extending downwards at a distance from the side wall to the bottom of the bucket. The collar forms a water check together with an upper wall of the bucket. The bucket (10) comprises a base (11) with a side wall (12) extending upwards to its top. At its top, the bucket has an opening (13) to accommodate a bouquet. A collar (14) surrounds the opening and extends downwards to the bottom of the bucket at a distance from the side wall. Together with an upper wall (15 located between a side wall of the bucket and the collar a water check (W) is formed.
