PURPOSE: A device and a method for displaying analysis/design graphics using a computer having a 3D(Dimensional) icon are provided to intuitively recognize a current location or a rotation direction of a displayed design always while facilitating a graphic interface with a designer. CONSTITUTION: A 3D icon tool(50) is installed to one side of a work window(20) and displays a shape of a predetermined object in 3D. The first linker links the rotation direction of the design(22) displayed in the work window with the rotation direction of the Cartesian coordinate system(24). The second linker matches the rotation direction of the Cartesian coordinate system with the rotation direction of the 3D icon tool. The 3D icon tool includes sextant click surfaces surrounding a surface of the object and a rotating tool rotating the object depending on a mouse click instruction or a drag instruction on the click surface.
